MISSION STATEMENT

On January 1, 2001, Police Training Institute proudly joined the Butler County Ohio Joint Vocational School District's Workforce Development Center. In an effort to maximize our ability to provide the highest quality advanced police training opportunities, this merger brings us into an educational entity that will allow us to offer: F.A.T.S.; skid car and pad; Confined Space Training Simulator; and a proposed driving simulator.

Police Training Institute (PTI), is based in Hamilton, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati on the campus of D. Russel Lee Career~Technology Center and is made up of twenty-three (23) member law enforcement agencies from Ohio and Kentucky. Originally formed in 1990, PTI has trained more than 2,700 law enforcement officers from seventeen states including federal, state, county and municipal officers.

The member agencies will select six (6) members to the Advisory Committee who will receive  terms of two years.
